Deputy Manager – Total Quality Management (TQM)

Bengaluru, India (On-site)
Bengaluru, India (On-site) Full-time 10-15 years
Apply

Nemmadi's Total Quality Management function is the backbone of everything we deliver — from Pre-Delivery Quality Inspections (PDQI) to RWA HOTO audits across 12+ cities. As our project count grows , we're looking for a Deputy Manager – TQM to work closely with the COO, take ownership of day-to-day oversight across all projects, and help build a stronger, more scalable TQM system. This is a senior, high-trust role designed to provide a genuine second line of leadership for the TQM function.

What you’ll do

  • Report directly to the COO, acting as deputy and backup for the TQM portfolio.
  • Monitor TQM activity across all live projects, and take up independent site monitoring wherever required.
  • Coordinate with and guide Nemmadi's on-site TQM/QA-QC engineers, and follow up on compliance with quality protocols and timelines.
  • Review checklists, inspection reports, site observations and other deliverables submitted via the Nemmadi App.
  • Track Non-Compliance Reports (NCRs) and other corrective and preventive actions through to closure, across all projects.
  • Coordinate weekly quality review meetings and ensure timely follow-up on Minutes of Meetings (MOMs).
  • Consolidate project-wise quality data into structured MIS and reporting formats for leadership review.
  • Identify recurring quality issues across projects, investigate root causes, and drive improvement measures.
  • Support the design, documentation and rollout of a stronger, more scalable TQM system — covering site monitoring, reporting and corrective-action processes.
  • Progressively take on greater ownership of the TQM function as the project portfolio grows.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related); a certification in Quality Management (ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • 10–15 years of experience in QA/QC, TQM or site quality supervision, ideally spanning construction, or real estate.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating or mentoring a team of site/QA engineers across more than one location.
  • Working knowledge of construction quality checks across civil, finishing and MEP works, and awareness of NBC/IS codes.
  • Comfortable with material and concrete testing methods (cube, slump, rebound hammer/UPV).
  • Strong reporting and documentation skills; comfortable consolidating data into MIS and dashboards.
  • A self-starter who takes ownership and drives outcomes independently, without needing close supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident coordinating across engineers, contractors and leadership.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites across Nemmadi's operating cities as required.
